Sri Lankan Batik is a beautiful hand art that involves a meticulous process of wax-resist dyeing to create intricate and colourful patterns on fabric. This traditional technique, brought to life by Sri Lankan batik artisans, has been elevated by Saree Selections through a collaboration with Aboriginal artist and Biripi Elder, Dr Leonard Smith from New South Wales. Emus and Kangaroos dreaming at the coast, into a stunning handmade batik design on a Sarong. This unique fusion of Aboriginal artistry and Sri Lankan craftsmanship celebrates both cultures while creating a meaningful, wearable piece of art that honours heritage and creativity.
